Book Description:
Amanda Stevens' latest didn't have the kind of depth necessary to make it a five-star book, but it was still a superlative, emotional pageturner. Nina Fairchild's estranged husband is dead and she has just given birth to his child when a fire breaks out in the hospital. She escapes in time, but her baby has disappeared... Six months later, she sees a baby she is sure is hers, both because of his resemblance to hers and because the boy's "mother" looks exactly like a woman who befriended her when she was pregnant, then proceeded to disappear. Nina confronts the woman's brother, Grant, who is his sister's most steadfast supporter. He agrees to help her find out what happened to her baby so that he'll be able to prove that it isn't his sister's. But as the lies pile up and all of Nina's evidence begins to disappear, she has to hope that this strong, handsome man will trust her enough to know the truth.
